KateandWillSmug - New Royal Wedding Memorabilia Competition

Now, I bake. I enjoy baking but I am not an Artisan Baker. My cakes are reasonably good but they are not works of art.

Sometimes I look at blogs and websites of professional bakers and wish that I had the patience and skill to create cakes like these 

Right. Now stop slobbering and pay attention.

You have the opportunity right here and now to WIN some Kitschnbake goodies. 

Very easily. All you have to do is join in our KateAndWillSmug competition. 

Regular readers of my blog will know that I have a strange and not quite serious fascination with the Royal Wedding Tat, of the sort that features on the Royal Wedding Tat  website. Some of you have already joined in the fun.

Now it gets serious. With the prize now being some wonderful goodies from Kitschnbake, which will be sent to the winner in time for the Royal Wedding Garden party. Mary-Jane has sourced some wonderful regal cake toppers especially for the competition and has designed Kitschnbake Royal Wedding Cake Souvenirs.

The Rules of the KateAndWillSmug Competition are as follows:

1. Buy (or make) an item of Royal Wedding Tat

2. Display it in your home.

3. Points will be awarded for the following:

- guest noticing the Royal Weddding Tat - 1 point

- guest expressing surprise - 1 point

- guest expressing horror - 1 point

- guest using profanity to express surprise and/or horror - 2 points

- guest laughing hysterically - 2 points

- guest admiring Royal Wedding Tat - 5 points

- guest requesting where the item of Royal Wedding Tat was purchased, in order to buy one - 10 points

Special award of pointage at the discretion of the judges (MmeLindt and Kitschnbake) for particularly tacky or large expression of Royal Wedding admiration. Such as this lifesized cardboard cut out:

Or if you are known to be a staunch anti-Royalist. Or for arranging the Royal Wedding Tat amongst particularly tasteful items in your home, such as between your Catherine Kidson or Nigella Lawson bakeware.

Judges decisions are final. If no one takes part, the cakes shall be consumed by the Judges themselves.
