Bringing up boys

DS caught in the act by DD using my mobile phone.

Yesterday we were invited to MrT's colleagues house for Kaffee und Kuchen and in that time DS managed to terrorise our dog, draw on their glass coffee table with felt tip pens (wiped off luckily) and then finally hid the key of the loo.

Soon MrT's colleagues and I were outside in the neighbours' garden, searching the hedge where he told us that he had hidden in, while MrT tried to get DS to tell us exactly where he had hidden the key. I was on my tummy on the ground searching the undergrowth when DD told me that he had really hidden the key in the green bin. I held him by his ankles and lowered him into the bin (there was just garden cuttings in there) to get it out.

There was much drinking of wine yesterday evening.

Puppy Makeover

Daphne went to the "Toilletage" for the first time this week and was transformed. She went in looking rather bedraggled and came out looking so cute. It took 2 hours and cost more than my hairdresser.
Maybe I shoud get MrT to do it the next time.

The Tour de France starts soon

and in anticipation, MrT has bought a bike. There are always a lot of cyclist on the road here and he has been hankering after a bike since we arrived.
On our trip today (see below) we passed a bike shop that also sold second hand racing bikes so he snapped one up.
He is off for a trial run at the moment. Watch out Lance Armstrong.

The best ice cream in France

Would you like some?
Is to be found in a medieval village not far from home. I had caramel et fleur de sel, caramel with salt which sounds horrible but it was fabulous.

MrT had brownies and cookies, with chunks of the cakes in yummy ice cream.

It was our first ice cream of the year and we thoroughly enjoyed.

We wandered around the village, it is small and at the moment not too busy. Most of the village seems to live from tourism so I suspect it will be very busy during the peak season. At present it is just wakening up from hibernation. Not all of the shops and art galleries are open yet but at least the lovely ice cream parlour was open.

Autosalon Geneva

We went to the Geneva International Car Show today to see all that is new in the world of automobiles. It was incredibly busy, thankfully we were there early so missed most of the crush.
