A year in Geneva

This week marked the end of the first year in Geneva.

Incredible to think that a year ago we arrived, still a little groggy from the move, and slept on the floor for the first few nights.

So how are we doing?

MrT likes his job. He has a new boss and a new team after a big reorg in the summer and we had a visit from his new boss just last weekend. He is very nice and quickly made friends with the kids (the presents he brought helped).

The kids are doing well at school. MademoiselleC is reading in German and English well and her French is coming along nicely. MonsieurC blethers away in French and both of them correct my pronounciation frequently.

And MmeLindt? Well, after the difficult start, things have really improved. I love life here in Geneva. I have friends who share similar interests, beautiful surroundings, a lovely home, a happy marriage and happy kids.

Not to mention a fluffy white dog. What more could a body aak for?
