The beauty of digital photography is what you can do after the shot is taken.
While I am not a fan of Photoshop I do sometimes dabble with it to see what a photo would look like in black and white.
Without the distraction of colour, the eye is drawn to light and shadow, to details that might not show themselves otherwise.
I thought it would be interesting to put these two shots together to see the direct comparison. I printed this shot in black and white, and framed it for the exhibition.
If it does not sell then there is a spot in the dining room waiting for it to come home.
For this pic I prefer the colour, as the rays themselves are coloured. I love the picture!
ReplyDeleteBut as you mentioned - a black and white capture shows a lot of athmosphere rather than showing off with the colour.
