Funky camera bag - does such a thing exist?

This is the question that I have been asking myself recently. The camera bags that I have seen are very serious looking things, proclaiming loudly 'I am a Photographer, look at all my important lenses'.

At present I only have my DSLR but I will at some point buy other gear for it and one thing that is a pain at the moment is the right bag to put it in. My handbags are either too small or too cavernous so that the camera is unprotected.

With the help of Google and the insertion of the search term 'funky camera bag' I found that all is not lost. I have ordered one bag in UK, my long suffering parents will bring it when they come to house/dogsit in February. It is very cool and funky, not sure how practical it will be as it looks quite small.

A friend of mine makes bags so I have asked her about making a larger, everyday kind of bag with padded pockets. Watch this space for more details.
