Geordie Lass arrested for smuggling Godiva choc into Switzerland

The Swiss customs officers were aghast this week to discover Belgian chocolates in the luggage of a Geordie lass. It is well known that the Swiss do not allow foreign chocs to be imported. Shelley B. an illegal immigrant in Germany was let off with a stern talking to and the instructions to dispose of the illegally imported goods immediately.

Thankfully, she was on her way to our house where we helped her dispose of the goods.

To help her make the same mistake again, we showed her the market town of Carouge where we discovered that the Swiss were not wrong when they insisted that the best chocolate in the world is here. .

The market of Carouge is teeming with fresh vegetables, wine, cheeses and every imaginable Swiss gourmet speciality. We have noticed that many Swiss people buy their food at these kind of farmers' markets. They certainly invite one to buy, the food is so well presented and fresh.

We wandered around town and found a soul mate and of course went along the waterfront for the obligatory photo of the Jet d'eau

before returning back to the village where Shelley took this fab photo of the lake

  1. Great photos. Hope Georgie lass had a good weekend and the Swiss Customs let her out of the country with her Swiss Chocs.
